About us

Coach Hene Sports Club has been making a name for itself as the fastest growing sports club in Manchester since the start of 2021. A community football club set up in honour of the late legendary ex-Ghana national team coach E.K. Afranie aiming to make football affordable to kids in Manchester and the North West in the United Kingdom. We look to develop raw talents and give kids the opportunity and confidence to become Great in the future.

Our Mission

​Our mission is to offer continued physical activity to young kids in the North West of England. With 90% of registered kids from BAME (Black Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds in the East Manchester area, our club is helping improve the mental health of families within the community and also aims to make football affordable to all

Our Vision

The club’s vision is to provide support and opportunities for kids and families from all backgrounds (especially BAME) through physical activities.

Coach Hene Sports Club is affiliated to the English FA and has grassroot youth teams playing in the Manchester Youth Super League and we aim to develop raw talents and give kids the confidence to become Great in the future.

Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie Jnr.

Founder and Board Chairman

Emmanuel Afranie Jnr serves dual roles as a Regional Logistics Manager at the renowned construction company Bowmer and Kirkland, as well as an advocate for youth football development.

His passion for the sport was nurtured by his father, the legendary Ghanaian coach E.K. Afranie, and it is this driving force that fuels his work at Coachhene, an organization dedicated to providing young players with opportunities to enjoy and excel in sport.
