We at Coachhene Sports Club are proud to have facilitated a Ghana Football Association talent identification initiative aimed at attracting young talents in the UK early enough into the national team pathway.
Being officially mandated to oversee this process in the UK is both exciting and aligned with what we stand for through our strong Ghanaian connection and commitment to youth development.
The session, organised alongside our partners the Ghana Football Association in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission United Kingdom , and Prince Lamona Consult, served as the opener for a talent identification programme for Ghanaian players, with Category One academies set to follow on Thursday.
Our Communications Director and BBC Sports Presenter, George Addo Jr , moderated the event.
Among the speakers were Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Sabah Zita Benson, Michael Essien, GFA President Kurt Okraku, and the mother of Antoine Semenyo, Dela Dzebu.
The event was well attended, with over 200 people present for the session, reflecting the growing interest in Ghana’s efforts to identify and attract talented players at an early stage.
This is only the beginning, with more engagement sessions expected in the future as Ghana hopes to attract talented players much earlier into the national team setup.
